Brought my car in to be showroom-ready. I called ahead and told them I'd read a good review from someone who'd gotten their car back perfectly clean and free of dog hair, that my car was dirty and I wanted it showroom-ready. That was possible; I could come in an hour. I was happy. The price was €165. I went. Two young men inspected the car together to determine how much time they needed. They brought up the fact that the dogs had been in the car, "It's really dirty." I said, "Yeah, that's why I brought it in." It would be ready in 2.5 hours, and there was an extra €25 for hard wax on the outside of the car. I hadn't even been gone 30 minutes when they called me to say that getting all the dog hair out was going to be very difficult and asked if I wanted that. I told them we'd already agreed on that and that I didn't think it was right to try to change the appointment this way. I got angry and told them I could pick up the car right away. No, no, it was already fine. After coffee, I walked through the neighborhood and saw Autoradam on the other street. I didn't know it, but it's a car wash, a polishing shop, and much more. A little later, I saw my car drive by. I'd never given permission for that. Straight through the car wash, even though I'd already had the car washed from outside before the appointment, and I'd even told them to. Apparently, they didn't have a pressure washer, and when I got home, I figured I could just hose them clean with it. Certain stains on the seats wouldn't come out, according to the dealers. Granted, white leatherette (never take it), but I cleaned it up quickly at home with Dasty. The car isn't showroom-ready. It didn't smell showroom-ready either. The rubber seals are still covered in green residue. They could have easily cleaned the mats and seats, but I did that myself at home. Smears are still on the hard plastic of the glove compartment. Sand is still in the seat rails, residue and dirt when you open the trunk—none of it did anything. And you only discover that when you get home and thoroughly inspect the car. All in all, not recommended for the €195 I ultimately paid via Tikkie (net, no VAT, nothing). I wouldn't recommend Hermanus; they simply don't want to do it. Don't expect a showroom-ready car because they don't even know what that is.
